FAQs

Will it fit my door?

It suits timber doors 32 to 60mm thick and 20 to 120kg. It goes over most existing Australian mortice lock installs, because its fixing posts sit in the same place as standard mortice furniture, and it can replace most knobsets, leversets and deadbolts. No mortice lock yet? We can fit one for you: call us for a quote. Not sure? Send us a photo of your door and lock and we'll check.

Do I need Wi-Fi or a hub?

No. The app talks to the lock over Bluetooth when you're at the door. To open it or manage users from anywhere, add an E-Series gateway (Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G), sold separately.

Is the app free?

Yes. The LOCKTON E-Series app for iPhone and Android has no paid features and no ads. You can also sign in with an existing TTLock account.

How many people can use it?

Unlimited app users and PIN codes, up to 1,000 RFID tags and up to 100 fingerprints. PIN codes are 4 to 9 digits, and you can send temporary codes from the app.

What happens when the batteries go flat?

The four AAA batteries last about a year at 10 to 20 uses a day. The key still opens the lock when the batteries are flat.

Can it use the same key as my other locks?

It has a 6-pin C4 oval cylinder. We can key it to match your other locks, as long as your key suits that cylinder. If your keys are on a Blacks restricted key system, we can add it to that system too. Give us a call.

Which way do the handles point?

Both handles come upright and can be set to suit a left or right hand door when it's fitted. The instructions show how.

Can it go on a fire door?

It has been fire tested up to 2 hours. On a fire door, the expanding fire material must go on the inner plates of both handles as the instructions show. Talk to us first if the door is part of a fire-rated system.

Can you fit it for me?

Yes. The online price is for the lock only, to fit yourself. If you'd like one of our locksmiths to fit it, give us a call for a quote. We can also fit it to a door that doesn't have a mortice lock yet.

What if something goes wrong with it?

It comes with LOCKTON's warranty: 10 years mechanical and 3 years electronic. If it develops a fault, contact us and we'll handle the claim for you. The warranty covers manufacturing and mechanical faults, not damage or normal wear.

How long does it take to arrive?

We order it in for you, and it's usually dispatched in 2 to 4 business days.

Can I return it?

Yes, if it's unused and in its original packaging (see our returns policy). Once it has been fitted or keyed it can't be returned.

Can I get extra fobs or a gateway?

Yes. We can order extra RFID fobs, E-Series gateways for remote access, and retrofit plates that cover old lock holes. Give us a call.
