Insert the red exchange key into the barrel and make sure the end retainer is fully retracted. Fit the steel collar cam over the barrel so it sits flush against the barrel head. Using the red exchange key, insert the barrel into the latch; it only goes in one way. Hold the barrel in with your thumb and remove the exchange key, press down on the barrel head to check it is fully in, then use your key to check the barrel turns 180 degrees.
Unlock the latch with your key and lift the latch to expose the barrel head. Insert the red exchange key and, keeping the key in the barrel, remove the barrel from the housing. Keep the steel cam collar for the replacement barrel, then fit the new barrel the same way as the first.
Only the Boot Door Handle and the T Handle for Windsor Rapid come with a barrel. The other parts are sold without one and take a Lock Focus barrel, like the ones in our Barrel Kit.
Generally, if your caravan uses Camec locks, Lock Focus barrels will fit. They don't suit Chicago barrels on compression locks, T handles and the like. For other brands, check with your caravan's manufacturer.
Yes. The Barrel Kit comes in kits of 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 or 15 barrels keyed alike, so one key opens them all.
The red exchange keys come in the box with barrel kits of 2 or more. They're only for fitting and removing barrels, not for everyday locking.
